(01) Challenge
Germany’s oldest brandy brand is back and wants to stand out with a wink. So the website tells its story as a daily newspaper from Weinstadt, complete with headlines, columns and ads.
(02) Solution
We built the newspaper page with separate layouts for desktop and smartphone. Articles open as a side panel over the front page, picture stories run as slideshows, and the editors manage the ad banners themselves. We also took care of search engine optimisation and structured data.
(03) Highlights
The newspaper is meant to look printed. That is why there is never an empty area anywhere on the page, and in every browser and at every width the text flows without awkward line breaks. A subtle effect lays a light grain over images and text, so everything looks as if it had been printed straight onto newsprint.
